January 2011: Firefox SMS
adds book and DVD stores with Amazon.com and links to eBay.
Firefox Store Management Solutions, a US and UK based developer of
web store solutions, today announced that its web store solutions now support
book and DVD stores. In association with Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, Firefox stores
now have the option of a book and DVD store that is tailored to their club or non-profit.
As an example, Firefox auto club stores for the Porsche Club have book and DVD stores
that show publications and DVDs relevant to Porsche. A non-profit that
raises funds for Alzheimers can now have an Alzheimers book store.
Members or supporters are not restricted to just the publications or DVDs that are in the store,
they can browse any books or DVDs on the Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk sites using any keywords
they choose. In addition, as a convenience to Firefox car club customers, Firefox car club
stores now have a link to the eBay Motors web site where relevant cars currently
for sale are shown.
The Amazon and eBay sections of the Firefox stores have been developed to have the same
look-and-feel as the rest of the store making the new sections easy to navigate. Tabbed
pages allow full descriptions of Amazon books and DVDs to be displayed along with customer
reviews. A simple click connects to the chosen book, DVD or car pages on the Amazon and
eBay web sites.
As with other Firefox web store modules, the Amazon and eBay stores are optional.

solutions.
Firefox Store Management Solutions, a US and UK based developer of
web store solutions, today announced the availability of the latest
version of the Firefox web store solutions
for enthusiast clubs, non-profits, charities
and small businesses.
New modules have been added to manage
self-service classified adverts for
enthusiast club members and to allow
customers to add their own products to any
Firefox store with a comprehensive array of
features including tax and shipping options
and a full set of reports.
Major new features have been added to the
Firefox event registration and management
module which supports a wide range of event
types and also now boasts, for car and bike
clubs, stored member profiles for events
such as track days and a fast single page
checkout.
To aid store promotion for customers
including Non-Profits and Charities, the new
Firefox stores support OnLine Gift Cards,
Wish Lists and Donations. These
features are designed to increase awareness,
to allow members and supporters to help
promote the cause and to offer new options
for fundraising. For the UK, the
donations capability also works with UK Gift
Aid allowing charities and non-profits to
increase their donations through tax
recovery from HMRC.
For clubs that can only offer logo items to
their membership to conform to logo license
agreements, there is a now a Private Store
option that either requires a login or can
be linked to from the 'member only' pages of
a club web site utilizing a single-signon
thus avoiding multiple logins. The new
stores can also manage membership
applications and a comprehensive reviews
capability has been added.
Feature improvements include automatic
currency selection according to the
originating country of the connection to the
web store for stores which support multiple
currencies; automatic login (remember me);
UK address lookup using UK Post Codes when
entering UK addresses for account creation
or shipping; and a number of presentation
and performance improvements including a
faster checkout process and more flexible
color customisation to allow a web store to
more easily match a customer's own web site.
Firefox will be continuing to enhance the
Firefox web store solutions to cover all
aspects of eCommerce buying and selling in
the enthusiast club market and to make club
management easier. In addition,
Firefox solutions for charities and
non-profits will add new features and
options to aid and build awareness and to
assist fundraising.
